Related Southeast appoints Katie Block Chief Financial Officer

Continuing its momentous growth, Related Southeast announces the addition of three key team members that will play instrumental roles in Related's rapidly expanding and award-winning developments in Downtown West Palm Beach.

• Katie Block has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Related Southeast where she is responsible for the financial oversight and planning as well as the overall management of day-to-day operations for the retail, residential, and commercial development and management in South Florida. In addition to her responsibilities in West Palm Beach, Katie leads the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for Hudson Yards in New York City. In her previous role as Department Head of FP&A for the Related Companies, Katie managed a team of 25 and was directly responsible for successfully integrating internal FP&A teams into one consolidated function which is responsible for financial planning, corporate budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and performance management of all development and operating platforms. Katie joined Related in 2013. Previously, she served as CPA at Ernst & Young and Controller at a private equity hospitality fund. Katie holds a degree from the University of Delaware, where she dual majored in Business with a concentration in Accounting and Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management.
• Roberto E. Smith has been appointed as the General Manager of 360 Rosemary, the newly debuted 20-story Class-A office building solidifying Downtown West Palm Beach as South Florida’s new center of commerce. As an executive with over twenty years of commercial real estate management and leadership experience, he is at the helm of the 300,000 sq. ft. LEED Gold-anticipated office building overseeing the building’s day-to-day operations. A forward-thinking solutions-focused executive with success in a wide range of leadership roles, including Assistant Vice President, Asset Manager and Senior Real Estate Manager positions.
• Thomas Hendrickson, Director of Customer Experience of Related Southeast, began his career with Related Companies in 2019 as Manager of Customer Experience at 20 Hudson Yards in New York City where he oversaw retail brand ambassadors and concierges. Having established the center’s coveted personal styling program and organizing experiences with residential and commercial partners, he initiated elevated programming for the community, development, tenants and beyond. As the newly appointed Director of Customer Experience, he supports all Related Southeast properties to seamlessly align and personalize the customer experience. Hendrickson brings an energized vision to the role, set to further solidify the award-winning reputation of Related’s West Palm’s assets. Prior to Related, Thomas worked for Macy’s, Inc. managing and establishing various luxury businesses.
