Duncan McCuaig is Executive Vice President of Office Leasing at Related Ross, where he leads the long-term portfolio strategy. He was most recently Executive Vice President, Director of Leasing of the U.S. Office Division at Brookfield Properties as well as a member of the New York leadership group. Duncan and his team were directly responsible for the leasing and revenue generation of Brookfield’s New York City and Boston Office portfolios which comprises 31 million square feet of Class A / Trophy office space with an aggregate value in excess of $25B.
Duncan led lease negotiations with some of Brookfield’s largest tenants, including Morgan Stanley for 1.3M square feet at One New York Plaza, Skadden, Arps, EY, the NHL, and Accenture at One Manhattan West for 1.7M square feet, Cravath, KPMG, and D.E Shaw at Two Manhattan West for 1.3M square feet. He has also played a significant role in the redevelopment and leasing of 5 Manhattan West, Lever House and 660 Fifth Avenue to tenants such as Amazon, JP Morgan Chase, Citadel, CBRE and Macquarie. Duncan also oversaw the leasing at Brookfield‘s premier New York City asset, Brookfield Place where he and his team recently extended and expanded the lease of Jane Street Capital for 858,000 square feet.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2006, Duncan spent 10 years with Cushman & Wakefield as a landlord and tenant representative broker in New York City.
Duncan received a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York and has also been active with charitable New York institutions such as, the American Heart Association, Gift of Life, The United Way, Big Brothers / Big Sisters of New York City and NEDA. Duncan resides with his wife Nancy in West Palm Beach and is the proud father of two adult daughters, Morgan, and Taylor who both work in Real Estate in New York City.
