At Related Ross, Mr. Silagy leads efforts to attract new companies and jobs to West Palm Beach, steward relationships with public and private partners, and advance a pipeline of transformative real estate, mobility, and innovation projects.
As the former Chairman, President, and CEO of Florida Power & Light Company (FPL)—the largest electric utility in the nation—Mr. Silagy led over $60 billion in strategic investments across Florida, overseeing landmark expansions in clean energy, statewide reliability, and infrastructure that positioned the state as a national leader in innovation and resiliency. Under his stewardship, FPL launched award-winning economic development initiatives in collaboration with local governments, educational institutions, and employers—demonstrating how business can be a powerful engine for community advancement.
Mr. Silagy’s influence extends far beyond the energy sector. He has served as Chairman of the Florida Council of 100, uniting the state’s foremost business and civic leaders to advance economic development and competitiveness. As Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for the State University System of Florida, he championed higher education and workforce preparedness, stewarding a $4.5 billion public university system.
Mr. Silagy holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. He lives in Palm Beach Gardens with his family.
