CityPlace unveils spectacular fall and winter events lineup for 2024

From cultural highlights like the Holiday Kickoff, Chanukah and Kwanzaa performances, and immersive pop-ups like the Bal Harbour Shops Access, CityPickle and SoulCycle, CityPlace comes alive this festive season offering community-wide activities.

CityPlace is bringing the wonder of the season to life with a vibrant lineup of fall and holiday events that will captivate and engage locals and visitors of all ages. From the highly-anticipated Holiday Kickoff commencing the season with energetic performances, nightly snowfalls and captivating light shows from The Wishing Tree, to festive cultural celebrations like TubaChristmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa, CityPlace remains a hallmark of holiday memories in downtown West Palm Beach.

New Pop-Ups: 

  • Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-Up (November 2024 – January 2025): The first-ever traveling luxury retail event debuts its fifth location across the United States at CityPlace, featuring renowned luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany, Balmain, Lanvin, and Golden Goose. Visitors can enjoy an immersive shopping experience in a tropical-inspired setting and gourmet Latin-inspired dishes and exquisite cocktails at The Whitman. November 2024 – January 2025.
  • CityPickle (November 2024 – February 2025): The urban home for pickleball, will debut its first Florida location at CityPlace in early November, offering 13 courts with cabanas for rentals, clinics, open play, and private events. Gear up with special Welcome Week offers from November 8-12 including complimentary paddle rentals, $5 Community Open Play and $20 Clinics (Nov 8-12), $25 Open Play and $40 Clinics (Nov 11-12). Court reservations and programming can be booked online via the CityPickle website or app. 
  • SoulCycle (November 2024 – Spring 2025): The high-intensity indoor cycling studio that redefines feel-good-fitness returns to CityPlace this season bringing their signature classes, theme rides and legendary instructors to the Palm Beach.

Events: 

  • Holiday Kick Off, November 9: Discover a full schedule of “Merry & Bright” festivities to kick off the holidays at CityPlace with visits from Santa, cultural holiday performances, artisan market pop-ups, nightly snowfalls and The Wishing Tree light show.
    • Dreyfoos Artist Market, 12-6pm: Celebrate the talented works by students of Dreyfoos School of the Arts along Rosemary Avenue and shop artwork of all mediums, merchandise, and other unique creations, perfect for holiday gifting.
    • Holiday Kickoff, 5-9pm: As the day transitions into evening, guests can enjoy the countdown to the main event with performances and photos with Santa beginning at 5pm. At 6pm, the magic begins with a performance of Waltz of the Snowflakes by Ballet Palm Beach that will lead into the first snowfall at 6:30pm, lighting of The Wishing Tree, and an evening of show-stopping musical performances by Mister Trombone, electric violinist DJ Lexey, and other notable acts.
      To complete the experience, visitors are encouraged to reserve a table in advance at one of CityPlace’s restaurants for the best view of the festivities.
    • Nightly Snowfall at CityPlace: The return of Downtown West Palm Beach’s most anticipated winter happening begins November 9 through December 31 with daily snowfalls at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm
    • Santa Meet-and-Greet: Set within the bright backdrops of CityPlace’s festive décor and The Wishing Tree, meet Santa all season long for photo memories to last a lifetime. November 9 – December 24; Fridays and Saturdays 6-8pm, and Sundays 5-7pm
  • Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival: CityPlace will feature artists' tents arranged gallery-style and filled with all mediums of fine art at this free, outdoor event. Residents and visitors are invited to stroll amidst life-size sculptures, spectacular paintings, one-of-a-kind jewels, photography, ceramics and more from the local and national artists who are on site to discuss their inspirations and processes for each hand-made work. November 16 and 17, 10am-5pm
  • Ferrari Show: The Ferrari Club of America, Palm Beach Chapter, invites car enthusiasts and and locals to an exhilarating afternoon at CityPlace. Guests will experience a stunning display of bespoke Ferrari models, showcasing the pinnacle of innovative design and high-performance engineering, all set along picturesque Rosemary Avenue. December 1, 11am-2pm
  • New Wave Art Wknd: Kick off the annual New Wave Art Wknd at CityPlace with a free public panel centered on The Gift of Public Art. Inspired by this year's theme, Unity and Community, the discussion will focus on the generous spirit of art created for public engagement. Artists Naomi Fisher, Antonia Wright, Sam Giarratani and Gopal Rajegowda, Executive Vice President at Related Ross, will join Sybille Canthal, Director of Arts, Culture and Community Building for the City of West Palm Beach to discuss the ethos behind their public art practices and its importance in the contemporary art landscape. December 6, 4-5pm
  • Path to College Speed Interview Night: Path to College is giving the gift of expert preparation to participants of their fellowship program at Speed Interview night. Volunteers are welcome to participate as mock interviewers and help prepare a local student for a real-life interview. December 6 from 5-7pm
  • Pet Day with Santa: In collaboration with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Santa Pet Day is the paw-fect opportunity to let pets revel in holiday glee with Santa. Free and open to the public at The Workshop. December 7, 6-8pm
  • Fashion Fest with aZul: Celebrate fashion with a purpose at Fashion Fest, where local designers will showcase the Winter 2024 Collection by aZul – Fashion, Art & Design. This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is dedicated to providing alternative, art-focused programs for adults with disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism, and other developmental challenges, as well as offering support for caregivers and families. This inspiring event is free and open to the public. December 7, 4-7pm
  • TubaChristmas Concert: Experience a worldwide tradition at the center of CityPlace during TubaChristmas. All are invited to enjoy the moving performance of holiday carols expressed through the warm, booming and rhythmic tones of the brass instruments across Rosemary Ave. December 14, 5-5:45pm performance
  • Christmas Day Live Music: Revel in the spirit of Christmas with live music performances. Free and open to the public. December 25, 5-9pm
  • Chanukah with Palm Beach Synagogue: Downtown Jewish and Palm Beach Synagogue enliven CityPlace with a vibrant display of Chanukah traditions including a menorah lighting and special treats. Free and open to the public. December 28, 7-9pm
  • Kwanzaa Dance & Drums Performance: Afrique Ngozi Dance & Drums is bringing an immersive cultural celebration of Kwanzaa to CityPlace. This family-friendly event will explore the seven principles that make up Kwanzaa and feature live West African dancing and drumming. December 30, 5-5:30pm
