Quantum Foundation in Partnership with Related Ross Foundation and Cleveland Clinic Awards $136,587 Grant to Advance Nutrition-Focused Food Access Across the Community

West Palm Beach, Fla. — [December 2, 2025] — Quantum Foundation, a private grantmaking organization, has awarded a $136,587 Food Insecurity Grant to strengthen and expand local nutrition-focused food access programs, reaffirming its commitment to addressing one of the region’s most urgent community health priorities. The grant, supported in partnership with the Related Ross Foundation and the Cleveland Clinic, will sustain and enhance the Feed the Hungry initiative and its network of grassroots distribution partners.

“Food insecurity is one of the greatest barriers to health, and Quantum Foundation is committed to helping remove that barrier. This grant reflects our belief in a nutrition-first approach and in the dedicated partners who make it possible. We look forward to welcoming additional organizations that share our commitment to this mission,” says Eric Kelly, President of Quantum Foundation.

Feed the Hungry was founded nearly forty years ago by Dan Shorter, a respected voice in journalism and public affairs, who remains rooted in its mission to increase access to nutritious food across neighborhoods that need it most.

“Feed the Hungry was built on the idea that dignity starts with access to real, nourishing food. This support allows our volunteers to continue showing up for families in ways that truly matter. With more partners joining in, we can expand that impact even further,” says Dan Shorter, Founder of Feed the Hungry.

Food insecurity continues to be a core pillar of Cleveland Clinic’s community mission. Over the past year, the program shifted from broad food distribution to a more intentional, nutrition-centered model, an evolution strongly championed by the Cleveland Clinic to ensure families receive healthier, high-quality options.

A key part of that impact is powered by trusted community partners, including The Rose Trolley, which delivers nutritious meals directly to homebound individuals, ensuring that residents who face mobility, transportation, or health challenges are not overlooked. Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, a historic anchor in the Northwest community, continues its role as a volunteer center, distributing fresh food on the second Saturday of every month through a convenient drive-up system that serves families.

“The strength of this program lies in its community roots. From neighborhood churches to the Rose Trolley team that shows up every day with compassion and care. We’re proud to support partners who are delivering vital support where it matters most, and we believe this work deserves sustained investment from across the region,” says Jeremy Morse. Executive Director, Related Ross Foundation.

While the Quantum grant will keep the program moving forward, additional philanthropic partners were essential to ensuring its long-term sustainability and growth.
