Wellington, FL – August 31, 2026: Related Ross today announced it has closed on the land for Village Landing, its planned mixed-use development at the intersection of Stribling Way and State Road 7 in Wellington. The closing marks a significant milestone as Related Ross advances retail and restaurant leasing and prepares for an anticipated groundbreaking this fall.
Village Landing will introduce a new, walkable village center to Wellington, with an 180-room hotel and over 300,000 combined square feet of retail, office, and restaurant space. Six connected plazas and green spaces will form the heart of Village Landing, anchored by a village square and lakefront boardwalk. The development marks Related Ross’s first major South Florida expansion beyond West Palm Beach, also includes planned roadway and intersection improvements to make the surrounding area easier to navigate.
“Village Landing reflects the kind of investment that Wellington residents have asked for, a place to shop, dine, gather, and spend time together closer to home,” said Kevin Ryan, Executive Vice President of Related Ross. “Our goal is to create a village center that complements what is already special about Wellington while adding the everyday amenities, restaurants, experiences and connections that are designed to serve the western communities of Palm Beach County. Closing on the land brings us one step closer to bringing that vision to life.”
“Wellington’s future is incredibly bright, and Village Landing represents an exciting next chapter for our community,” said Wellington Mayor Michael J. Napoleone. “This project will bring new dining, shopping and entertainment options to Wellington while creating a gathering place our residents can enjoy. I’m excited to see the vision begin to take shape and look forward to what it will add to our community.”
Related Ross is planning more than 80 shops along with daytime cafés, market concepts and destination restaurants, many located around the lake. Village Landing will also host community programming including farmers markets, holiday festivals, fun runs, pop-ups and local celebrations, while serving as an everyday place for families and neighbors to spend time together.
“Our team was proud to assist Related Ross in navigating the complex legal and financial structures required to bring this transaction to a successful closing,” said Adam Bregman, Partner in the West Palm Beach office of Shutts & Bowen LLP. “This multi-faceted development represents a major step forward for Wellington, blending critical retail, hospitality and residential uses that will serve the community’s evolving needs for years to come.”
The closing follows Related Ross’s May 2026 announcement of Village Landing and marks the latest milestone in the company’s plans to create a new destination serving Wellington and the broader Palm Beach County community. With land acquisition complete, the project is advancing toward an anticipated groundbreaking this fall.
