West Palm Beach, FL – September 3, 2026 – As students return to school, the Related Ross Foundation has released the results of its inaugural Build Together Summer Camp Scholarship Program, which provided 243 West Palm Beach children with access to free summer programming.
Through grants to four local camp providers, the pilot program awarded $367,000 in scholarships and funded a combined 1,376 weeks of camp. Participating students in pre-K through sixth grade explored academics, arts, leadership and more at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, Cox Science Center and Aquarium, Rohi’s Readery and Systema Floyd.
The program helped address two of the most common barriers to summer camp: cost and transportation. In a survey of participating families, 67% said their child would have been unlikely to attend camp without the scholarship. For 85%, it was their child’s first time attending that particular program, while 96% reported that the experience had a positive impact on their household.
“It’s really fun. They give us time to express ourselves,” said Sonny, one of the participating campers.
The program reflects the Foundation’s commitment to working alongside local organizations to expand educational opportunities and support West Palm Beach children and families. Participating students came from Northboro, Pleasant City, Roosevelt, U.B. Kinsey/Palmview and Westward elementary schools.
“The beauty of this program is that it builds on the work already happening across our community,” said Jeremy Morse, Executive Director of the Related Ross Foundation. “By working with local organizations that offer different kinds of enrichment experiences, we’re helping remove barriers to summer programming while supporting partners that are already creating opportunities for children across West Palm Beach to learn, explore, and grow.”
The Build Together Summer Camp Scholarship Program was created with proceeds from the inaugural Palm Beach ProAM golf tournament, hosted by Related Ross and Point72 in February 2026. The event raised $400,000 for the Related Ross Foundation, providing the funding to launch the pilot.
